I am a 22-year-old student at Tartu Vocational College specializing in software development. I have a passion for technology and a keen interest in learning new programming languages and frameworks. I am currently working on various school projects to enhance my skills and gain practical experience in the field. I first took interest in software development when I was studying at Our Lady of the Lake University, majoring as an IT specialist. In one of the courses for this major I had to code with Python, which was my first programming language that I learned. Python was fundamental to the career path that I chose. After I learned Python I wanted to gain more knowledge and skill in the programming world, that is why I picked to become a software developer. By now I have done projects using HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React.js, I have used different frameworks for frontend development like Tailwind and Bootstrap. I also have experience creating databases with MySQL and using phpMyAdmin. Now that I am applying for an internship, my goal is to gain real-world experience and deepen my understanding of development processes. I am highly motivated to work on the next level to gain more experience and knowledge in this field, establish new connections and participate in different projects. In 3 years I see myself working in the private sector as a junior developer focusing on developing applications, fixing bugs, and designing UI's. At the university I also played basketball where I won the 2023/24 conference championship. I find playing basketball a crucial part of my life which has taught me important skills such as taking on the leadership role, teamwork, and communication. Besides writing code I really enjoy hiking, skiing, and reading books. I would say my favourite hobby is to hike. Hiking helps me really clear my mind and focus on my thoughts- this is where my best ideas spark.
